Vadapalani Exnora Women's Guild along with Kidzee, Vadapalani, conducted an interactive session on the ‘Ayurvedic Way of Living.’

The meeting was presided over by Subha, president, Women’s Guild, who welcomed the guests.

Dr. R. Veeracholan, BAMS, Medical Officer, Urban Ayurvedic Medical Centre, gave a comprehensive lecture on how to be healthy.

He talked about avoiding pesticides-ridden vegetables and fruits and other unhealthy food items. He spoke for around two hours on switching over to better food alternatives.

He pointed out the importance of using gingelly oil, spinach, and red rice. The benefits of starting a meal with a sweet was explained to the participants, followed by the method of consuming water, ghee, gingelly oil, curd, honey, etc.

He also urged people to use country sugar instead of refined sugar.

The session received a good response from the public, with many raising doubts about how to change their eating habits.
