Vivekananda Educational Trust organised a three-day residential camp for teachers of the Trust recently at Sri S. Badalchand Sugankavur Chordia Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Mudichur.

More than 130 teachers from five units of the Trust participated.

Anuradha, vice-principal, SRDF Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Chromepet, lighted the camp.

A library was inaugurated by Vinaychand Chordia of Sayerchand Chordia Trust, Sowcarpet. D. Sivakumar, principal, S.Badalchand Sugankavur Chordia Vivekananda Vidyalaya Matriculation School, welcomed the gathering.

In his presidential address, Dulichand Jain, president of Vivekananda Educational Trust stressed the significance of education and its role in moulding the body, mind and heart. Mr. Jain also stressed on the importance of family values.

Prema Mahadevan, principal of SRDF Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Chromepet, spoke about inspiring a child by creating a spark in its mind. She said, “By surrendering to the profession with faith and confidence a teacher can easily mould the child. Persistent efforts, positive attitude, enrichment of the self in terms of skills are essential pre-requisites for the teacher.”

Vidyulatha, principal of Smt. Krishna Moolchand Maheshwari Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Thiruninravur proposed vote of thanks.
