Chitlapakkam Town Panchayat has developed a park at Adhiaman Street of Muthulakshmi Nagar in response to the request of the Chitlapakkam Muthulakshmi Nagar Welfare Association (CMWA).

At a function organised recently, R. Mohan, president of the Chitlapakkam Town Panchayat handed over the keys of the park to the office bearers of the association. Mr. Mohan informed that the park was constructed at the cost of Rs. 3.6 lakh and assured to equip the park with the requested materials shortly.

N.C. Krishnan, former president of Chitlapakkam Town Panchayat, appreciated the association for its continued efforts in improving the locality.

CMWA president L. Sundararaman presided over the function in the presence of V.L. Narasimhan and V. Ramajayam, vice-presidents. In his address, he said that nearly a decade old dream of the members of the association has come true.

S. Kannan, secretary of the association, requested that the compound wall of the park be raised and kids slide and swing be installed. S. Sridhar, Bank Manager, Bank of Maharashtra, Chitlapakkam and R. Karunamoorthy, Town Panchayat member, offered their felicitations. The vote of thanks was proposed by C.S. Venkatesh, treasurer of the association.
