Spreading awareness: Diabetes Self Care Kit was launched by Shiv Das Meena, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation Ltd.

M.V.Hospital for Diabetes and Prof. M.Viswanathan Diabetes Research Centre, Royapuram organised a panel discussion on Diabetes for public on World Diabetes Day, November 14, at GRT Grand Convention Centre.

Over 140 people attended the panel discussion. The doctors in the panel were specialists of Caridology, Opathalmology, General Medicine, Neurology, Urology, Vascular and Nutrition. Every health issue raised by public was responded and solutions recommended. With this campaign, a Diabetes Self Care Kit was launched by Shiv Das Meena, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation Ltd. The Diabetes Self Care Kit consisted of blood glucose monitoring meter, body fat analyzer, B.P. monitor, pedometer, measuring cups, diabetic manuals, monofilament, foot care kit and measuring tape. Mr. Meena commended the M.V. Hospital for Diabetes and Prof. M. Viswanathan Diabetes Research Centre for spreading awareness on diabetes.

M.V. Centre for Diabetes Mylapore, a branch of M.V. Hospital for Diabetes Royapuram, organised a programme at Queen Mary's College on the eve of World Diabetes Day on November 13.

P. Sakthivelu, JCP, South Zone was the chief guest . It was attended by students of QMC, teachers, children. K. Ambujam, Principal, QMC, film actor Shakti, and Dr.Vijay Viswanathan, MD, M.V.Hospital for Diabetes were also present.
