Dignitaries at the inauguration of a State-level seminar on 'Nurturing Economic Development through Corporate Social Responsibility' at Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Anna Nagar.

The Department of Commerce of Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Anna Nagar, in association with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India organised a State-level seminar on ‘Nurturing Economic Development through Corporate Social Responsibility.'

“The three important factors — desire to acquire ideas, decision to adapt changes, and the determination to achieve success, play a key role in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives,” said B. Ravi, former chairman, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Southern India Regional Council.

K. Manickam, General Manager (Human Resources), Indian Oil Corporation , spoke on the origin and growth of CSR and its contribution to economic development. He mentioned about the CSR initiatives of IOC in education, sports, and healthcare.
