Some things never change with times and names of places associated with landmarks of the area are some such things. Though the new generation is unaware of the history of the place or its importance, many know the names. New Jail road and the Gandhi Hospital road is referred to by many old timers even today despite the fact that both the hospital and the jail are no more located on the premises mentioned. The Gandhi Hospital premises, earlier housed a jail which was well known as Musheerabad Jail. Later the new building of the Gandhi Hospital was constructed on the jail premises and the jail was shifted. Yet people still call the road by the name New Jail road. The old jail is Chanchalguda Jail, while the new one was the Musheerabad Jail.

“A long wall ran along the across the road and people used to wait for ‘mulakath' in front of the gates,” recalls Mohd. Sharafuddin, of Bholakpur.

Though the jail has been shifted to other premises from here, people still refer to the road by its old name. the road has retained its name still many old timers refer the Gandhi hospital road as New Jail road.

A few shops still mention the road as New Jail road Musheerabad on the sign boards.
