Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers' Association, AIEMA Training Centre and ATC Education Trust signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Elumalai Polytechnic College, Villupuram. At a function organised on July 22, College principal T.K. Muthukumaran and AIEMA president R. Sridharan inked the pact.

According to Mr. Sridharan, this is a significant step in the Industry-Institution interaction taken by AIEMA as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.

This provides assistance to the Polytechnic students, who will get “industrial visit” opportunities, in-plant training in AIEMA member units, and utilisation of facilities for their project work. Apart from these, they will get assistance in finding employment in the industrial units located in Ambattur. This will also facilitate mutually beneficial dissemination of information between technocrats from industries and the teaching faculty from the Institution. S. Selvamani, secretary of the Polytechnic College presided over the function. N. Elangovan, General Manager, District Industries Centre and A. Ayyakannu, Director-South Zone, Board of Apprenticeship Training Centre, Chennai, were among those present on the occasion.
