Global Organization for Divinity India Trust, a non-profit organisation, organised a self-awakening programme for students appearing for board examinations. Hindustan University was the lead sponsor for this year’s programme.

The programme advocated the power of the sloka Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.” As many as 3,000 students and 100 teachers from more than 70 schools in and around Chennai participated in the event who chanted the sloka for 15 minutes.

It was followed by a lecture by A Bhagyanathan and M K Ramanujam. They spoke on the powers of the sloka such as enhancing one’s self-potential, concentration and others.

Students who participated in the last year’s programme spoke about the benefit of chanting the sloka through their experience. Also there was a session on time management.

This is the sixth year of the programme and Hindustan University was the lead sponsor.
