Jawahar CC triumphs in long-drawn tournament

The Sri Raghavendraswamy T20 tournament, organised by The Blue Sky Cricket Academy, came to a grand finish recently. Jawahar CC defeated Pee Pee XI in the final and bagged the trophy.

Seventy two teams from the city took part in the league-cum-knockout tourney that was spread across a year.

Eight groups of nine teams were formed and the top two from each group made it to the knockout stage.

Ramesh of Excel CC won the man-of-the-series while Jawahar CC's K.B. Arun Deepak walked away with the best batsman award. C. Balaji of Pee Pee XI was nominated best bowler.

Special awards were also given away for other notable performances in the tournament. Swami Yadunathananda, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, T. Nagar, presided over and distributed the prizes.

V.G.Lakshmi Raj, tournament organiser and Academy Advisors S.Hariharan, B.Sivathanu Venkatesh, and V.Sivaprakasam were present.
