Sridhar Rao, a retired BSNL employee had lost all hopes of recovering his bag, which he had forgotten on his way back home in Machilipatnam Express recently. The bag contained gold, cash and other articles worth over Rs.2 lakh. Thanks to Mr. Ch. Anjaneyulu, Manager, HMT Tools Limited, Sridhar Rao now sports a smile and feels lucky.

It all happened on November 3, when Mr. Sridhar Rao and his wife Vijayalaxmi were travelling back to Hyderabad in Machilipatnam Express. As the train reached Secunderabad station, Mr. Rao and his wife got down at the station and forgot the bag in the train. Mr. Anjaneyulu, who was travelling in the same coach, noticed the bag and tried to alert Mr. Rao. But Mr. Rao had already left the station by then. After checking thoroughly at the station premises, Mr. Anjaneyulu went to his home in Jeedimetla and handed over the bag to Jeedimetla police.

“I had no clue. Inspector Gangaram was a friend of mine, so I handed over the bag at the police station. Soon the police checked the bag and found Mr. Sridhar Rao's mobile number in it. Immediately, they called him over phone and handed over the bag to Mr. Rao,” said Mr. Anjaneyulu. “Mr. Rao had lost all his hopes. When he was told about the bag, he left so lucky. He thanked me a lot and I feel very happy,” said Anjaneyulu, sporting a smile.
