The Gujarat Emporium — Sales Showroom is conducting ‘Gujarat Diwali Mela' of handloom and handicrafts at 67, R.H. Road, Alwarpet.

Salwar kameez from Gujarat with vegetable dyes, batik, appliqué and mirror work, trendy batik kurtis on dark shades, embellished with glass work, eye-catching block printed cotton saris are on display.

Fascinating articles made out of mirror such as cushion work, bags, letter stand with elephant and floral motifs, decorative puppets made out of cloth and velvet, toran (mirror and thread work), wall pieces (glass work and mirror work), file holders, door cutters and dish mats are also available.

One can also pick applique work done by Kutch craftsmen, embroidery works on wall hanging cushion cover, etc., super fine (tie and dye) on fabrics such as cotton and silk saris, dupattas and dress materials which are done in Jamnagar and Bhuj Mandi of Kutch district and beadswork toran, wall hanging from Sourashtra.

Chikan kurtas for men, Sambhalpuri cotton saris, block printed, wooden furniture, imitation jewellery are the other attractions on display. Jute bags, jute wall hangings, jute frames, jute lays, jute head clips are the highlights of the sale.
