DOMINATING THE SHOW: The Colt Institute karatekas with their rich collection.

Karatekas from the Colt Institute of Karate and Holistic Health reaped a golden harvest in the National-level tournament, conducted by JSKA, in Chennai recently.

The Colt Institute wards walked away with a whopping 16 gold medals, and 25 overall. The rest of the medal collection included five silver and four bronze.

Around 500 karatekas from all over India took part in the two-day event held at the JJ Basketball indoor stadium.

The gold medal winners:

Men: Kumite: 56-60 kg: R. Anbu; 61-70 kg: V. Selva Kumar; 66-70 kg: Harsha Reddy; Above 70 kg: S.V. Arjun.

Boys: Kumite: 10-11: Kaushik Aravind; 12-13: S. Suriya Prakash; 14-15 years: N. Sriram.

Kata: Below eight years: Harshith Babu; 15-18: B. Soundar.

Girls: Kumite: Below eight years: G. Charulatha; 12-14: G. Haridharini; Above 15: N. Harsha.

Kata: Below nine: R. Sharmoz Begum; 10-12: S. Bhuvaneshwari; 13-15: P. Preethi;

Above 16: S. Vijay Lakshmi.
