The Gandipet has now turned out to be favoured picnic spot for the city dwellers. Become s

Thanks to the copious rainfall that has left the reservoir brimming, it now stands in contrast to its previous image of dry water body that it used to resemble in summers.

Hordes of people are visiting the place and the rush has only increased after the advent of the summers.

“The fact that makes the place worth visiting is that the reservoir brims with water unlike the previous years,” says Kamran Ahmed, an LIC agent.

“It is a complete contrasting picture ever since it had received good inflows, more over the approach roads are now quite wide and offer a hassle free drive,” says a regular to the place.

The place now also has in store two small parks that have an entrance fee of five rupees, “The entrance fee is not a great deal, after all the facility had been improved a lot,” feel Ramakanth, a real estate agent from the Mehdipatnam area.

“The parks have filled the much needed vacuum, the place craved for it,” says Shukhoor Ahmed, a school teacher.

Though there are restrictions on people entering the reservoir area or the vicinity of the place, youngsters are having fun trekking through the rocky terrain.

“The rough terrain tests ones' abilities,” puts in an adventurous youth.
