With a view to promote handicrafts and textiles and to increase the earnings of the artisans, the Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation is conducting handlooms expo till June 7 at Zoroastrian Club, S.P. Road.

About 100 persons representing different craft media from 12 States are invited to exhibit and sell their products in this exhibition.

The exhibition is open to public from 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. everyday and is open on Sunday and public holidays also.

Soft wood toys and dolls from Kondapally, Nirmal and Etikoppaka villages, hand paintings from Nirmal and Kalahasthi and metal castings and sheet metal artware in brass, Bidriware, carvings in wood and stone media, ceramic and crochet Laces, Kalamkari block prints of Machilipatnam style, cotton durries, silver filigree, Banjara tribal embroidery, silver jewellery and some of the traditional art forms of Andhra Pradesh find place in the Exhibition.

Saris and dress material in traditional weaves from Mangalagri, Narayanapet, Siddipet and other regions apart from exclusive collection of saris are on display.
