Entrepreneurial training programme for college teachers was conducted by Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Centre (ESDC) of the Department of Commerce, University of Madras, and sponsored by Higher Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.

Batches

The ESDC conducted the programme for in eight batches commencing from January 2, which was folded up on February 22.

The training programme was organised jointly with foundation for National Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (NEED) Chennai, wherein 240 teachers working in the affiliated colleges from in and around Chennai and from Maharashtra participated.

Madras University Vice-Chancellor, R. Thandavan, in his valedictory address congratulated the efforts of Department of Commerce, NEED foundation, and the faculty members from respective colleges affiliated to University of Madras on reaching an important milestone in this great scholastic journey and remarked that ESDC is the home of knowledge exchange.

Certificates were awarded to all the participants and S. Gurusamy, Professor and Head, Department of Commerce, proposed the vote of thanks.
