Students of Sri Sai Ram Institute of Management Studies secured the first and second place in ‘business plan,’ an event conducted at the 11th national-level convention of Madras Management Association. First-year students — S. Pavithra and R.M. Ramya — won the event. Their model dealt with overcoming electricity crisis. They received a cash award of Rs.25,000.

Students awarded

First-year students —K. Sateesh and L.N. Rajasekar—secured the second place in the competition by presenting a model on sustainable development through green marketing which focussed on reducing the use of timber in stationery industries. They were presented with a cash award of Rs.15,000.

First-year students—R. Sabitha and Y. Priscilla —won the consolation prize in the ‘best speaker’ category. Their topic was ‘Entrepreneurship: The Road Less Travelled - Mantra for Development.’
