A two-hour musical programme was held at Horizon International Academy, a private school in Madambakkam near Tambaram on December 6. The musical show was packaged in the form of a ‘movie in the making’ and the show included diverse scenes with vibrant backgrounds.
The students’ performances included penguin dance, tribal dance, recycle dance and a fashion show. During the dance drama, children elicited not only dancing and acting skills but also their keen awareness of eco-friendly methods.
Lavanya Priyadharsini, co-founder and director of Horizon, welcomed the audience. Prakash Vaidhyanathan, IIT alumni, academician, inventor and recipient of International Green hero award, was the chief guest. Ram Sankar, a chartered accountant and treasurer of Gram Vikas, a voluntary organisation, was the guest of honour. Edward Jennings, founder of Horizon and principal Vydhehi Sathyanarayan also spoke on the occasion.
