Madras Christian College, East Tambaram, recently inaugurated a community college in West Tambaram. It was established as part of the 175th year celebrations of the college.

T.K.M. Chinnayya, a former student of the college and Animal Husbandry Minister, who is also Tambaram MLA was the chief guest. The Community College was declared open by Savithri Devanesen, wife of Chandran Devanesen, the first Indian Principal of the college. A. Besant C Raj, Chairman of MCC Association and Xavier Alphone, Director of Indian Centre for Research and Development of Community Education, Chennai were among others present on the occasion.
