S.S. Hyderabad Biryani, which specialises in Halal foods, is offering mutton and chicken biryani in bucketfuls.

S. Abdul Samad, Managing Director, said that the catering company has a centralised kitchen at Red Hills for distributing biryani to all parts of the city.

“The reason for having a kitchen at Red Hills is that the water quality, which is important for preparing tasty biryani foods, is good,” he explained. S.S. Hyderabad Biryani was established in 1998 by Mr. Samad when his home-made chicken biryani became a hit among the public in Broadway. “We are one of the official caterers for HCL and other IT companies,” Mr. Samad said.

Talking about his success in creating a brand in this competitive food market, he said that the reason for his success was his mother’s recipe — a recipe brought from her native place in Mysore, Karnataka.

The restaurant has outlets at Thirumullaivoyal, Avadi HVF, NM Road, Perambur, Peravallur, Tondiarpet, Kaladipet, Triplicane and Royapettah.
