With the majority of the depots across Chennai lacking in amenities, there is reason to believe that commuters using some of them may cast the evil eye on the one that has come up in Besant Nagar. Built at a cost of Rs. 69 lakh, this terminus-cum-depot comes with facilities that most of the other depots across the city lack.
A display board for information on buses starting from the terminus with their approximate time, bays earmarked for specific bus routes and a seating arrangement, which makes it comfortable for commuters to wait for their buses, are among facilities that lend the depot its appeal. The terminus is built with a covered roof, so there should be few reasons for people to complain about during peak summer. A stall selling Amma Water has been set up at the entrance of the terminus.
