Students of Atlas Kung Fu and Kick Boxing Martial Arts Team from Chennai participated in an All-India National Open Martial Art Championship 2012 held in Goa recently.

The tournament was conducted by Kuo Shu KungFu Fedaration. More than 500 martial arts students from all over the country participated.

The 12 students from Atlas Kung Fu and Kick Boxing Team won prizes in various categories. 

V. Srinivasan fought in 60 kg weight category, won gold medal, while M.S. Jeyakar fought in 55 kg weight category also clinched gold medal for his team.

Chandra Babu and Mohan fought in 65 kg weight category brought silver medals. S. Jeevanandam fought in 40 kg weight category, settled for bronze medal, whereas S. Bala Subramanian fought in 70 kg weight category also brought a bronze medal for his team. Prizes were distributed by Michael V. Lobo, MLA of Calangute constituency of Goa.

Atlas Kung Fu and Kick Boxing Martial Arts have been training students in Kung Fu, Kick Boxing and other martial and have branches in Parrys, Tondiarpet, Kaviarasu Kannadasan Nagar, MKB Nagar, Anna Nagar and Villivakkam. 

The students are being trained under the direct supervision of the Grandmaster Sijo K. Venkatesh (7th degree).
