And the bigger and elder of the glamour industry turned in full strength and at its impressive best to accept the accolades put together by the younger ones.

The 6 {+t} {+h} MAA Cinemaa Awards this week glittered with the presence of ANR, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Srikanth, Anushka, Ram Charan, Vishnu, Rana apart from producers and directors including Allu Arvind, K.S. Rama Rao and Achi Reddy.

On an evening when the rain gods opened up the skies and the city witnessed heavy rains, the glittering venue for the awards presentation literally had the who's who of both film and television industry.

Comedy artist Ali and television anchor Suma anchored the mood for the occasion.

Ram Charan and Naga Chaitanya won the best actor and best debut actor respectively while Anushka was winner for the title of best actress.

The MAA TV says that it had adopted popularity voting method for the selection.

To ensure credibility, transparency and fairness of the awards, the services of Grant Thornton, a leading international audit, tax and speciality advisory firm were engaged, the channel said.


The glitzy affair is all set for telecast on MAA TV on August 28 at 7 p.m.
