Arihant Retail, which has several readymade showrooms in the city, has been chosen as a case study for best retail outlets by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Professor S. Manikutty of IIMA did the case study of Arihant Retail for small and medium enterprises education programme covering the entire working of the organisation.

Vishal Hasti Surana, CEO, Arihant Retail, said that the case study was a feather in the cap and would encourage the organisation to provide better customer service. The case study delves in detail the background of the company started by Hastimal Surana as ‘Surana Textiles' in the year 1960; the various retail outlets including the multi-storeyed Arihant Stores located in Washermenpet dealing in dress materials for both gender and for kids; an exclusive male showroom named Hot Male at Anna Nagar; the executives in charge of the different operations of textiles sector. Mr. Vishal, who is the CEO of the organisation, holds a MBA from S.P. Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai, and has been the man behind the success of the Arihant Retail outlets.
