The British Council invites applications for the Chevening Gurukul Scholarships for Leadership and Excellence.

It is a unique 12-week advanced leadership programme, created specifically for India's future leaders, by the renowned London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

The scheme is specially meant for all working professionals who have substantial experience in their professional field and are looking out for a short-term professional training programme to expand and consolidate their experience, knowledge and skills.

The Chevening Programme began in 1983 and has developed into a prestigious international scholarship and fellowship scheme.

This programme is funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and managed by the British Council in India.

The FCO now awards nearly 1,000 scholarships and over 200 Fellowships every year.

There are over 32,000 alumni, comprising leaders from civil society, academia, Government, NGOs, media and business.
