The Nanganallur Main Unit of THAMBRAAS (Tamil Nadu Brahmin Association) will conduct various competitions for people of all ages on September 2 as part of its annual day celebrations.

The competitions will include cookery, smell and tell, memory game (above 18 years), word building (age-group 5 - 12) and quiz (age-group 12 - 18). The unit also celebrated Independence Day by hoisting the national flag in Iyappa Nagar Extension.

Booma Ravi delivered the welcome address and the State Committee Public Relation secretary V. Venkataraman inaugurated the events, in the presence of State Committee youth wing joint secretary V. Sivakumar.

The flag was hoisted by lawyer and State Patron S. Satheesh Parasaran and Corporation Councillor Hema Bharani Prasath in the presence of unit president T.N. Srinivasan.

Patriotic songs were sung and on behalf of the branch Youth wing education assistance was handed over to Saranya, a student of engineering.
