The Kasthuriba Club, Mylapore, celebrated its 63rd anniversary recently at Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz. Tiruppur Krishnan, Editor, Amudhasurabi, presided over the event and released the souvenir.
In his address, he said very few forums such as Kasthuriba Children Club focused on inculcating values among children. He appreciated the various activities of the club.

The chief guest, N.D. Raghavan, ex-Vice-Chairman, Central Administrative Tribunal, and ex-Vice-President, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal; GOI, was the chief guest and his wife Malathi Raghavan, writer and journalist, distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions.
They praised the efforts of the club uniting children from various parts of the city and felt happy to participate in the function. K.S. Shankar, secretary, welcomed the gathering.
S.A. Bhat and Rudrakoteeswaran, president and vice-president of the club respectively, were present on the occasion. Jaya Joshi, treasurer, proposed a vote of thanks.
