Dr. V. Raghavan Centre for Performing Arts will celebrate the 104{+t}{+h}birth anniversary on August 22 between 6.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. at Sri Dakshinamurthy Hall, P.S. High School Campus, R.K. Mutt Road, Mylapore.

On the occasion, P.S. Sachu, Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram, Chennai, will release the book Srngaramanjari of Saint Akbar Shah by Dr. V. Raghavan and the first copy will be received by Anupama Kylash, Scholar and Senior Exponent of Vilasini Natyam.

The chief guests are Chitra Visweswaran, Bharatanatyam exponent and Padmasri Awardee, and Pramila Gurumurti, Head, Department of Indian Music, Madras University.

Musicologist and senior associate of the centre B. Krishnamoorthy will be honoured on completion of his 80th birthday. ‘Nayika Vilasam’ choreographed by Nandini Ramani, will be a performed by senior Bharatanatyam artists.
