Taking time of from TV

Ekta Kapoor's blue eyed boy on TV (‘Kyunki Saas Bhi …' ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay', ‘Bandini'), Ronit Roy gears up to play a cop in the TV Czarina's co-production with Sanjay Gupta, Shootout At Wadala .

Ask the actor why he has agreed to do this multi-starrer alongside Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Kangna Ranaut, Mahesh Manjrekar, Tusshar Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai, and he says, “I have several reasons to do this film. I am professionally associated with Ekta for the past 12 years. I am associated with Sanjayji for that long personally. No actor could have rejected this role after the kind of passion with which Sanjayji gave me the three-and-a-half-hour long narration.”

And his co-stars too had something to do with Ronit's decision to take time off from TV to do this film. He says, “I have considered Mr Kapoor to be one of the most dedicated actors. It is going to be a learning experience for me. I feel proud to be doing this film alongside him.”
