Whenever many stars congregate on a location for a long shooting spell, certain bonhomie develops that lasts at least till the end of the shoot. The same happened at the Hyderabad schedule of Sanjay Gupta’s next, Acid Factory, which saw a host of stars such as Irrfan Khan, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani, Manoj Bajpai, Dia Mirza and Danny Denzongpa (who is making a sort of comeback) interacting and bonding when they were not shooting. On the last day of the schedule, Fardeen Khan’s wife Natasha (yesteryear actress Mumtaz’s daughter) and Manoj Bajpai’s wife Shabana (the Kareeb girl who was formerly known as Neha) flew in to be with their husbands, and threw a dinner party for the entire cast and crew. Both played perfect hosts and the night was fragrant with the aroma of lazeez biryanis and kebabs and rocking music.
Actor by chance
Riding a wave after Jannat, Emraan is one of those rare actors who don’t claim they wanted to act in films since the time they were being wheeled around in a pram. The laidback actor admits: “I never wanted to be an actor, I had different career options, one of them was direction. But when I was 22, I was offered Footpath and I thought ‘Why not give it a try?’ Till the shooting was over, I didn’t realise how much I had enjoyed acting. And decided to pursue it seriously.
