Kelvikku Enna Badhil

This phone-in live programme, which tests the IQ level of the participants, turns 50 this week. Spread over three sets with five questions in each, viewers will be asked 15 questions with four choices. Correct answers can be sent either by SMS or through website. Those who get the correct answers for all the five questions will share the first prize. And those who get all 15 answers right will get the mega prize.

Little Master Season 2

(Jaya TV, weekends,9 p.m.)

The hunt for best singers and dancers in the age group 8-13, reaches its grand finale this week with kids giving their best to get the coveted title, ‘Champ of Champs.’ Stay tuned on July 5 (music) and 6 (dance) as the top six finalists will perform live on the channel.

Avarukku Badhil Ivar

(Makkal TV, Saturdays, 7.30 p.m.)

The programme discusses various political issues with a touch of wit and sarcasm. It takes a comical dig at politicians suffering from selective amnesia and their hyper-centric activities besides focussing on civic and social issues.

The episode is formatted as a court scene, with a judge and a look alike of the person who is the subject of the day’s mockery. With awkward questions from the judge and funny replies from the main character, each episode attempts to keep the viewers in splits.

Russian films

Makkal TV has been telecasting Russian films on alternate Sundays at 2 p.m. These war movies are being telecast with Tamil subtitles, for the benefit of viewers.

This week’s film will be ‘The Passion,’ a movie with seven different stories with Andrei, the protagonist, appearing in all these. Each happens in different settings during different periods of time.

The film is directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.
