Hollywood action man Brendan Fraser says starring in another Mummy sequel just wasn’t the same without his sexy sidekick Rachel Weisz. Brit actor Weisz opted out of reprising her role in The Mummy 3, leaving Fraser with a new damsel in distress, played by Maria Bello. “I felt Rachel’s absence,” Fraser admits. “We were partners. We were colleagues. We were friends, and I couldn’t read the screenplay and not think about hearing her say it this way or that way. We had that chemistry.” But the actor insists he bears no grudges against Weisz for snubbing the new movie. “I think she made the choice that was correct for her,” Fraser says. “I quickly said to myself, ‘A role is a role.’ You step into it, and step out of it."
