Sajid’s animal fixation

Sajid Khan’s animal instincts have been visible in all his films till date. In Housefull , Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Lara Dutta, shared screen space with a tiger; and while Riteish-Lara played the scared couple, Akshay acted as a braveheart, who would manipulate the cat to roar whenever he wished it to. In his next, Housefull 2 , Sajid went a notch higher — he included two animals in the film. While John Abraham made fun of a snake, Akshay and Riteish made jokes at a crocodile, until the animals lose their cool.

Now, for his forthcoming film, Himmatwala , Sajid Khan has decided to take his animal fixation to another level. In this remake of the hit 1983 film by the same name, he has got into a serious mode. Apparently, Sajid wants his hero, Ajay Devgn, to fight with the big cat, a la Amitabh Bachchan in Mr Natwarlal .

Sajid and Ajay will fly to Mauritius to shoot the scenes over seven days. While Sajid didn’t have any issues in using computer graphics to shoot the scenes, Ajay wanted to do the stunt by himself.

B-town stars at Marrakech

The Marrakech Film Festival celebrated 100 years of Bollywood and several of B-towns brightest lights landed up at the Moroccon city. Shah Rukh was presented the Medal of Honour and he was there in full force with his friends. Karan Johar turned up with his Student Of The Year team and personally escorted young Alia who looked bedazzled by the goings on in a tomato-red sari. A fully-suited Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra (in a maroon jacket) also walked the red carpet. Couples Hrithik (dapper in a suit) with Suzanne and Arjun with Mehr were also part of the festivities. Senior stars like Amitabh Bachchan (who has been presented the Medal of Honour earlier), Sharmila Tagore and Sridevi (resplendent in red) also made up the large Indian contingent.
