Racing Stripes (STAR Movies, Sunday, 9 p.m.) In the middle of a raging thunderstorm, a travelling circus accidentally leaves behind a baby zebra (voice by Frankie Muniz). It is rescued by Nolan Walsh and quickly introduced to his daughter and the farm’s misfit troupe of barnyard residents, led by a cranky Shetland Pony named Tucker (voice by Dustin Hoffman) and Franny (voice by Whoopi Goldberg), a wise old goat who keeps the family in line. The Walsh farm borders the Turfway Racetrack, where skilled thoroughbreds compete for horse racing’s top honour, the Kentucky Crown. As he thrusts himself into a world of intense competition and enormous stakes, Stripes must prove he’s fast enough to run with the big horses if he wants to land in the winner’s circle.

John Tucker Must Die (STAR Movies, Friday, 9 p.m.) Three teenagers two-timed by a local lothario decide to turn the tables on him. John Tucker (Jesse Metcalfe) is the star player of the basketball team in his school. He’s got money, looks and can woo any girl. However, the latter attribute is about to get him into trouble when three girls at his school – Heather (Ashanti), Beth (Sophia Bush) and Carrie (Arielle Kebbel), discover they have all been dating John at the same time. Determined to teach him a lesson, the girls device a plan and partially succeed in it with the help of Kate (Brittany Snow), who is new at school.
