The Lost City

Havana in 1958 is a place of pleasure for many, but others are not happy under the rule of dictator Fulgencio Batista. The revolutionary forces of Fidel Castro and Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara prepare to move on the city. Fico Fellove (Andy Garcia) is the owner of the city’s classiest music nightclub, El Tropico. Struggling to hold together his family and the love of a woman (Ines Sastre), he does not know that his club will become more than just a stage for popular entertainment.
Observing all is The Writer (Bill Murray), an expatriate American who sees Fico being drawn into events as the revolution changes everything. Though Fico watches a culture vanish and a people transformed, it is his love of Cuban music that keeps his memories alive. Dustin Hoffman also stars in this film directed by Andy Garcia.
The Last King Of Scotland

Young Scottish physician Nicholas Garrigan (James McAvoy) jets off to Uganda looking for excitement, romance and the joy of helping a country that truly needs his medical skills. Through a bizarre chain of events, he is given an offer so incredible that he cannot refuse. When Garrigan is called to the scene of an accident he finds Idi Amin (Forest Whittaker), Uganda’s newly installed leader, has suffered injuries in a car accident. Amin takes an instant liking to Garrigan and offers him the job as his personal physician.
Over time, Garrigan’s own desire for power seduces him into becoming the dictator’s confidante and consultant. Ultimately, he finds himself witnessing increasingly unsettling events, including kidnappings, assassinations and unspeakable atrocities in which he himself may be complicit. But when he finally dares to stop the insanity, he winds up in a desperate fight for survival. Directed by Kevin Macdonald, this film also stars Kerry Washington.

“Lamhe” is a story of moments… moments of passion, ecstasy and love. It is love at first sight for Viren (Anil Kapoor) when he comes face to face with Pallavi (Sridevi). But Pallavi is in love with Siddharth (Deepak Malhotra). They die in an accident and Viren is unable to forget her. Then comes a twist in the tale in the form of Pooja (again Sridevi), Pallavi’s daughter. She falls in love with Viren who is much older to her. Will Viren encourage her?
