After his debut film Singakutti , Sivaji Dev, a grandson of Sivaji Ganesan, makes his second appearance in director Maneesh Babbu’s Puthumugangal Thevai . Cinematographer Rajesh Yadav ( Mazhai, Pokkisham and Raman Thediya Seethai ) plays a parallel role in the film which features Bhanu and Vishnupriya as the leading ladies. Maneesh Babbu is sure the audience will roll in the aisles with laughter when the film releases shortly. “It is a cinema within a cinema, a story about the making of a film, with Sivaji Dev playing an assistant director in it. His sole aim is to make it big as a director. Rajesh Yadav, a supervisor in a hotel, nurtures a desire to become a successful producer one day. Puthumugangal Thevai explores the fantasy world of the penniless producer and the aspiring director,” says Maneesh. Will they make it big? Wait and watch.
