Born in Uttaranchal and brought up in Lucknow, Richa Panai is set to make a debut in Yamudiki Mogudu next month. She has already done four Malayalam movies and has now set her eyes on the lucrative world of Telugu movies. She waxes eloquent on the Telugu film industry “Malayalam movies are wrapped up in a month’s time, they don’t have the budget and I got used to their working style and felt this was how all films in the country are made. Here, they shoot one scene in one day, what more they also give me a caravan to rest. They listen to your suggestions and everyone respects you here. I’m in love with this industry,”

The actor who wanted to be Miss World is content being a heroine, says she is playing Yamadarmaraj’s daughter and had the wonderful opportunity to get dressed in beautiful costumes. She will be flying to Switzerland for a song-dance sequence shortly.

Richa draws further comparison to Malayalam movies and observes that it is not wise to complain on trivial things because she gets so many comforts. Also she heaps praises on her co-stars Ramya Krishna and Allari Naresh. “I am in love with my character. Naresh not only has an excellent comic timing, he dances so well. For the remix number of Chiranjeevi, Ramya Krishna and Naresh would just see the steps once and perform with ease. I would be the only one to take time and it was terrible keeping pace with both of them on either sides.”

The actor says she cannot think of leaving Hyderabad as she got used to the sambar and rasam rice, and the hospitality and the respect she is getting here despite being a newcomer. “Palakollu is so beautiful and calm, wonder why people rush to Goa which is so crowded for holidays. I’m looking forward to make my mark here and I guess, I will be the first North Indian to dub for a Telugu film. They have given me the opportunity and I delivered the goods.”
