Hrithik on Khamoshi

If you thought Hrithik Roshan became a Sanjay Leela Bhansali enthusiast only after he collaborated with the latter on Guzaarish, think again. Hrithik points out that he admired Bhansali right from the time he made his directorial debut, Khamoshi (1996), even though it was a box office disappointment.

Hrithik says: “I remember watching Khamoshi in Mumbai's Chandan cinema house. I wanted to see the film because I had heard a lot about it. After the film got over, I couldn't move — I was so enthralled. I wondered why the film was not up for the Oscars and why it wasn't a hit. As a filmmaker, Bhansali has done justice to every vision of his; you might not have liked the vision, but he has done justice to it.”
