‘Badshah’ of comedy
Though Jaffa dissapointed his fans, Brahmanandam returns as a Badshah of comedy in NTR’s Badshah . Just as the antakshari episode became one of the high points in Gabbar Singh , Brahmanandam was at his best keeping the crowds glued to their seats in the film as ‘Pilli Padmanabha Simha’. The actor is being flooded with compliments but he appears unfazed, “All this remains as long as the film runs in the theatres and people forget it once it is gone. We just follow the director’s instructions and do our job.”
It’s been sometime we saw Ritu in Telugu films, her last project was Aha Na Pellanta. She had done a guest appearance in Action 3 D which is yet to release. In Vasool Raja, she plays the role of a school teacher. “I got to wear a lot of saris in the film. But in the songs I look westernised. The role is about this girl who has strong beliefs and if she finds a guy smoking, she will go and give him a lecture,” she says on her role and Navdeep plays her love interest.
Sesh Adivi has been very selective with his work, even if it is a baddie’s role he makes sure that he impacts the audience. His forthcoming movie is KISS elaborated as ‘Keep It Simple Stupid’. The logic of the characters is pretty much the same. What does he do in the movie? The good looking actor says, “He is an innocent man who enters a woman’s life. Usually innocence is associated with drawbacks but here his goodness helps him tide over situations. He keeps everything simple, and thinks he can face every complication with simple methods.”

A ravind 2 might not have done well at the box office but people did notice Srinivas Avasarala’s work as a director in the movie. He recalls the tough time he had while shooting in Dandeli forest near Goa, “We would shoot from six in the evening to six in the morning. There would be no place to sleep, and we did that for 20 days at a stretch and that too twice. The best part though was bonding with Kamal.”
