Bermuda Triangle

(Fox History and Entertainment Channel, Sunday, 9 p.m)

There is a mystery out there and the answer lies somewhere between Bermuda, Puerto Rico and Miami. Hundreds of boats and planes have disappeared into the blue leaving little or no trace at all.

Most of these cases can be explained easily enough by human error or bad weather. But there are some that defy explanation.

The programme reveals that boats and planes do indeed face real danger in the Triangle but the true threat is often as strange as the wildest theory.

A Hyena Princess

(Discovery Channel, Saturday, 8 p.m.)

This is the story of Naabi, a young hyena growing up in Tanzania. Here hyenas aren't just scavengers, they are also skilled hunters when they work together in the clan.

But life is still a struggle, and except for the few weeks in a year when the wildebeest pass through, there isn't enough food to go around.

Lions are their mortal enemies – they are quick to attack hyenas and often scavenge their skills.

Animal Battlegrounds – Tundra

(Animal Planet, Wednesday, 8.30 p.m.)

This episode explores Tundra, a vast area of barren treeless plains, in the Arctic where the ground is permanently frozen. It reveals how golden eagles use precision flying to attack mountain hares in the Highlands of Scotland and how the hares use the seasonal changes in vegetation to their advantage.
