Cookery specials

The timings of the cookery programmes on Makkal TV have changed. Here are the details:

Nam Naatu Samayal: Sunday, 1 p.m.: The show features traditional recipes from different States in India. Vijayalakshmi hosts the show.

Avasara Samayal: Monday, 3 p.m.: Dishes which can be cooked in 15 minutes will be featured. Chitra is the host.

Parambariya Samayal: Mondays, 1 p.m.: This week, chefs Senthil Karunakaran and Kirubakaran will demonstrate dishes with medicinal qualities. Anchored by Aarthi.

Suvai Payanam: Wednesdays, 1 p.m.: Learn some famous dishes of Tamil Nadu on this show, by actually visiting that city. Chakkravarthy plays host.

Pannattu Samayal: Thursday, 1 p.m.: It’s all about world cuisine here with Chef Jammeel showcasing food styles from different countries. Aparna hosts the show.

Inippu Kaaram: Fridays, 1 p.m.: The focus is on healthy and tasty food items.

Sathana Samayal: Saturdays, 1 p.m.: Yet another show where the emphasis is on healthy cooking and the medicinal qualities of the ingredients are highlighted.
