Exit Wounds

(HBO, Monday, 7.10 p.m.)

Orin Boyd (Steven Segal) is a cop who refuses to follow rules. He saves the Vice-President by breaking every single order that he had been given. As a result, he is transferred to one of the worst areas in the city. There, Orin comes across some corrupt policemen who sell heroin to drug dealers.

Will he be able to tell the bad guys from the trustworthy ones?

Garbo Talks

A dying mother’s (Anne Bancroft) last wish to meet Greta Garbo, costs her son (Ron Silver) his job, his marriage and his dignity.

Carrie Fisher also stars in this slice-of-life film from director Sidney Lumet.


Dhoom 2

(Sony Max, Monday, 9 p.m.)

Mr A (Hrithik Roshan) is an international thief who has carried out heists from Argentina to Japan. The police around the world have no idea how to catch him. ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan) is assigned the case and he deduces that the next theft will happen at Mumbai. Mr A, who’s actually Aryan, meets Sunehri (Aishwarya Rai), another thief. They get together and move to Copacabana in Brazil for the next robbery.

Gair Kanooni

(Sony Max, Tuesday, 5.25 p.m.)

Kapil (Shashi Kapoor) is an honest police officer, married to Devi (Rohini Hattangadi). Devi gives birth to a boy but at the hospital, the boy is exchanged with a girl baby. Kapil suspects the owner of the hospital, as he is unable to find his son. Devi dies of shock while Kapil ignores the baby girl, Lakshmi. The court orders a caretaker for Lakshmi, and Kapil foots the bill to bring up the child. Will he ever find his own son?

The cast includes Govinda, Kimi Katkar, Sridevi and Ranjeet.

Sabse Bada Rupaiya

(Zee Classic, Monday, 7.30 p.m.)

Amit Rai (Vinod Mehra) is a millionaire with a golden heart. He helps everybody despite warnings from his friend Nekiram (Mehmood). Suddenly, hard times hit Amit and he is forced to close down his business, sell his property and valuables and leave home along with his mother and sister. His business associates desert him as does his fiancée.

Amit begins life afresh as a fisherman. And that’s when he discovers that he has been swindled all along.

Also stars Moushumi Chatterjee, Farida Jalal and Asit Sen.
