CHENNAI: Chennai-based global technology integrator and business solution provider Zylog on Monday announced that it had acquired Canada-based consulting and engineering services company Brainhunter for Canadian $35 million.
Chairman and CEO of Zylog Sudarshan Venkatraman said in a statement the company had been looking to enter Canada for its operations and this acquisition would provide Zylog the appropriate platform.
The target catered to government departments, BFSI and telecom, which were the key focus segments for Zylog. Hence, there was high potential for cross-sell.
Zylog Managing Director and COO Ramanujam Sesharathnam said the acquired company had the ‘preferred vendor status’.
The Canadian economy was one of the few that had been least affected by the recent downturn.
