CHENNAI: Voltas Limited has reported a 140 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 52.16 crore for the first three months ended June 30, 2007 against Rs. 21.75 crore in the year-ago period. The company’s sales and income from operations rose by 39 per cent to Rs. 833.69 crore from Rs. 599.29 crore. According to M.M. Miyajiwala, Executive Vice President-Finance and CFO the company has sustained the momentum of its accelerated growth, with most of its businesses performing at high levels.
