Many tours include adventure sports

A choice of food will be provided

CHENNAI: For a number of years, out-bound travel from India was always restricted to either business travel or visiting friends and relatives. The scenario has since changed and Indians have now become one of the largest chunks of travellers, to destinations practically all over the world.

Trade-Wings Ltd. (TWL), the country’s largest travel network, on Saturday launched here its Chennai brochure of its latest tailor made packages to several parts of the world. The tours are at affordable and competitive costs and available to clients in Tamil Nadu in general and Chennaities in particular.

Speaking on the occasion, P. Mohan Rao, Consultant-Southern Region said that keeping in mind quality customer service and Trade Wings’ commitment to create affordable interesting packages to explore the world in comfort, a slew of offerings was in place for the globetrotting, adventurous and budget-conscious.

He maintained that TWL believed in the principle of ‘no hidden costs’ and unpleasant surprises while the customer was on tour. Some of the new packages include destinations such as Eastern Europe, China, Egypt and South Africa.

A highlight of a New Zealand tour is the availability of self-driven vehicles for Indian travellers with valid Indian driving licences. For the adventurous, many tours include adventure sports like bungee-jumping, water sports, dune drives and camel rides and hot-air ballooning.

An array of choices of cuisines is also provided keeping in mind vegetarians and those who like to sample local food.

Trade Wings was founded in 1949 and has a beach resort in Goa and an institute that trains people for aviation related jobs. It also operates shipping of cargo and freight by sea and air, foreign exchange services and courier services.
