Sundaram Business Services Ltd., the BPO arm of Sundaram Finance, has landed three-year BPO deals from two Melbourne-headquartered accounting firms. These relate to back-office pension fund administration (PFA) services, and are to be delivered out of its Chennai facilities. Rajesh Venkat, CEO, Sundaram Business Services, indicated that the company could be penning two more such deals in the near future in the PFA space. “Our plan is to hire 100 people with an accounting background within the next quarter for our back-office operations for the Australian customers,” he said in a release. In addition to the two multi-year deals, SBS has secured couple of more deals for back-office services in the portfolio management and unit registry fields, both from Australian firms. — Special Correspondent
