KOCHI: The net profit of the Kochi-based Shree Sakthi Paper Mills went up by 397 per cent to Rs.110.54 lakh in the quarter ended December 31, 2009, as against Rs.22.23 lakh during the same period in the previous year, a company release said here on Monday.

The turnover of the company during the December quarter rose 13.64 per cent to Rs.3,507.79 lakh from Rs.3,081.61 lakh a year ago. The net profit during the nine months ending December 31, 2009 rose to Rs.336.70 lakh from Rs.246.28 lakh in the same period last year.

Higher turnover

The turnover of the company during the period rose to Rs. 10,271.26 lakh from Rs. 10,225.23 lakh rupees.

In the financial year ended March 31, 2009, the turnover of the company was Rs. 13,811.79 lakh.

The company clocked a net profit Rs. 331.79 lakh in the last fiscal.
