NEW DELHI: NTPC has entered into a preliminary agreement with Bhutan to set up the Amochhu Reservoir hydel project. “The agreement for preparing a detailed project report was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck last week,” the company said in a release. The agreement was signed by NTPC Chairman and Managing Director R.S. Sharma and Bhutanese Ambassador to India Major General Vetsop Namgyel. — Special Correspondent
