Kochi: Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz introduced four new models belonging to its ‘Pure Fascination' series in the Kerala market at a function here on Wednesday.
The new models, listed under the S-Class, M-Class, E-Class and GL-Class, were launched by Debashis Mitra, director of sales and marketing of Mercedes-Benz India Private Ltd. Mr. Mitra said these models were among the 10 models launched by the company in the past 10 weeks. He said the luxury car market was all about choice and the ‘Pure Fascination' series was marked by passion, perfection and cutting-edge technology. The company had a presence in 25 cities with more than 50 ‘touch points, the largest for any luxury car manufacturer in the country.
He said the company had registered a high growth during the current financial year. It was expecting a phenomenal rise in sales in South India.
Answering a question, he said the increase in excise duty announced recently by the government would raise the prices of the company's car models by between Rs.40,000 and Rs.1.5 lakh.
