HYDERABAD: Gulf Oil Corporation, a Hinduja group company engaged in lubricants, explosives and mining and infrastructure contracts, has secured mining projects worth Rs. 300 crore from Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (Rs. 110 crore) and Coal India (Rs. 190 crore). The company secured the largest single off-loading assignment in the country involving 300 lakh cubic metres of over-burden removal in Dudhichua coalmines of Northern Coalfields Ltd. The work on the project is expected to commence in January and would span over a period of three years. With the two orders, the order book of the company in mining projects increased to Rs. 400 crore and the GOCL's board had recently cleared an additional capital expenditure of Rs. 75 crore for purchase of state of art equipment and vehicles.
