Nikesh Arora, Internet search giant Google’s India-born Chief Business Officer, has resigned as independent director from the Bharti Airtel’s board. Mr. Arora has been replaced by Dinesh Kumar Mittal, a former bureaucrat who retired in 2013 as Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.

Meanwhile, the Google India executive behind Mapmaker, Lalitesh Katragadda, has put in his papers. A Google spokesperson confirmed the development. Mr. Katragadda, who was with the Internet giant for the last 12 years, was also the person who kick-started the company’s R&D centre in Bangalore. — PTI/Staff Reporter
